Who Bladespeed works with on the trade side

Our trade book covers the full motorcycle supply chain. The common thread: regular volume, professional handover standards, monthly billing instead of pay-per-job admin.

Dealerships and retailers

Stock movement between sites, retail deliveries to customers’ homes, used-bike collections from private sellers on the dealer’s behalf, demo bike rotation between branches. We arrive in branded uniform and treat the handover as part of your customer experience.

Distributors and importers

New-model rollouts to dealer networks, single-unit drops to one branch, multi-unit consignments to launch events. Routes scheduled around your launch calendar.

Manufacturers

UK distribution of new models from a central PDI point to dealer showrooms. PDI-to-showroom legs, press-fleet logistics, photoshoot transport — all on a trade account.

Auction houses

Collection from hammer for trade buyers, delivery on paid invoices to dealer addresses. We hold the auction reference, lift the bike on the trade account’s behalf, and bill the account monthly rather than per pickup.

Accessory brands needing demo bike logistics

Suspension specialists, exhaust manufacturers, tyre brands needing demo bikes shifted between trade shows, magazine tests, dealer days. Frequent moves between dealers, journalists and events.

Workshops and restorers shipping for trade clients

Finished restorations going back to dealer clients, project bikes coming in from auction sources. Trade rates for repeat volume.

What does a Bladespeed trade account get you?

A trade account is structured to take the friction out of regular motorbike logistics. The features below apply to every account; volume tier sets the rate.

Volume-tiered pricing

The standard B2C transport rate is the starting point. Trade tiers apply a discount scaled to monthly unit volume — the more units you run through the account, the lower the per-unit cost. Tier names: Bronze, Silver, Gold. Discount applied automatically on every booking once your tier is set.

Monthly invoicing

No pay-at-checkout, no chasing PO numbers per job. Bookings accumulate over the calendar month; a consolidated invoice issues on the 1st of the following month, payable on standard 30-day terms (longer credit available for established accounts on application).

Dedicated uniformed drivers

Trade collections and deliveries are handled by named drivers in Bladespeed-branded uniform. Your customer (or the receiving dealer) sees a professional handover, not a man in a hi-vis.

Online dashboard

Repeat bookings without re-keying. Saved pickup and delivery addresses, saved bike templates, saved billing details, saved authorised staff. Multiple users per account with role-based access. Job status visible in real time.

Priority routing

Trade-account jobs get first pick of available slots on the weekly route. Off-schedule and urgent slots are quoted at trade rates rather than retail.

Named account contact

Every account has a named contact at Bladespeed. Issues route directly to them, not a generic mailbox. Quarterly review available on Gold tier.

Service-level commitments

Collection windows confirmed the day before. Delivery ETAs reported on the day. Damage protocol and dispute process spelled out at onboarding — see service standards below.

How to open a Bladespeed trade account

A four-step setup designed to onboard most accounts within five working days.

  1. Apply online. Submit the trade application form with your company details, expected monthly volume, primary pickup/delivery locations and a few references. (Form lives on this page once the WP build is live.)
  2. Approval call. A short video or phone call with the trade desk to confirm volume expectations, slot you into the right tier, set up credit terms and walk through the dashboard.
  3. Onboarding. Account configured in the system. Saved addresses loaded. Authorised users invited. Branded handover materials briefed to your nominated drivers if you want a specific livery on paperwork.
  4. First dispatch. First booking goes through the dashboard. Account contact monitors the first three jobs personally. Volume reviewed at week 4 and tier confirmed.

How does volume pricing work?

The standard published B2C rate from the transport page is the starting line. Trade tiers apply a discount scaled to your account’s monthly unit volume:

  • Bronze — entry tier for accounts with regular but lower monthly volume. Standard trade discount applied.
  • Silver — established mid-volume accounts. Enhanced discount across all bookings.
  • Gold — high-volume accounts. Top discount, priority slots, quarterly account review, longer credit terms by arrangement.

Specific tier thresholds and exact discount percentages are set at account onboarding so they fit how your business actually books. The principle is simple: more units through the account, lower cost per unit.

A “unit” is one motorbike on one booking, regardless of size band. Multi-bike consignments count as multiple units. Storage, where added to a trade movement, is billed separately at the standard storage rate.

Service standards

Trade customers need to know the rules of engagement up front. Here’s what we commit to:

Collection windows

A two-hour collection window is confirmed by 6pm the working day before pickup. Tightened windows available on request for time-sensitive jobs.

Delivery confirmation and ETA reporting

ETAs update in the dashboard as the route progresses. The receiving address (or your branch) gets a one-hour delivery window by 9am on the delivery day. Proof of delivery — signed POD plus handover photos — uploaded to the dashboard within 30 minutes of completion.

Loading method

Standard B2C method applies on trade jobs: enclosed dry van, front-wheel chock, soft-loop tie-downs to bars and rear subframe. No strap ever crosses a fairing. Indoor overnight stops on long routes.

Damage protocol

Damage is documented at collection (full photo set) and at delivery (full photo set). Any discrepancy is logged with the receiving party at the door and flagged to the account contact within one hour. Claims under our goods-in-transit cover are handled within seven working days.

Dispute resolution

A named account contact handles disputes directly. Anything not resolved within five working days escalates to the operations director. We don’t ghost trade accounts.

Confidentiality

We don’t disclose your customer addresses, units moved or trade volumes to third parties. We don’t sell route data. Saved addresses in the dashboard are visible only to your authorised users.

Common questions about Bladespeed trade accounts

What counts as a “unit” for volume pricing? One motorbike on one booking, regardless of engine size. A van carrying three bikes for the same account on the same job counts as three units. Storage, where added, is billed separately on the storage rate.

What’s the billing cycle? Bookings accumulate over the calendar month. A consolidated invoice issues on the 1st of the following month, payable on 30-day terms by default. Longer terms by application for established accounts.

Do you require a credit application? Yes for accounts requesting credit terms above 30 days, or where monthly volume implies an exposure we want to underwrite. Standard 30-day terms are available without formal credit checks for incorporated UK businesses.

Is there a minimum monthly commitment? No fixed minimum on the entry Bronze tier — but tier discounts step up with volume, so very low-volume accounts will look similar to a B2C booking. Silver and Gold tiers require monthly volume sustained over a quarter to qualify.

Which UK areas do you cover? All of mainland UK — England, Scotland, Wales. Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and parts of the Highlands & Islands beyond Inverness are by arrangement on a separate quote. Trade accounts get the same coverage as the B2C service.

Can multiple staff use one account? Yes. Multi-user with role-based access — admins, schedulers, view-only. Activity attributed to the user who placed it.

Do you offer branded paperwork or vehicle livery? Standard handover paperwork carries the Bladespeed name. We don’t run white-label vehicles. We do brief drivers on account-specific handover style where you’ve asked for it (e.g. customer not to be told the dealer’s location of stock).

Can we book auction collections through the trade account? Yes — auction pickups are routine. Provide the paid invoice and the auction’s collection window through the dashboard.

What if a delivery fails because the receiver isn’t there? A failed delivery rebooks to the next scheduled day for that postcode. The first failed attempt is at our cost; subsequent rebooks where the failure was on the receiver’s side incur an off-schedule surcharge.

Can we add storage to trade movements? Yes — storage bays are bookable through the trade dashboard at the standard £60-per-4-weeks rate, billed against the monthly invoice rather than at point of booking.

Do you do international or trade-import collections? The vans run mainland UK only. Where the inbound leg lands at a UK port or airport, we collect from there and deliver onward on the account.
