Bladespeed UK coverage — England, Scotland and Wales every week
Bladespeed runs a fixed weekly motorbike transport schedule covering every mainland UK postcode from a base at Unit 5 Uffington Trading Estate, Oxfordshire (SN7 7QD). Every postcode is assigned a scheduled collection day. Book online and the funnel shows the day for your address; off-schedule days are bookable at a transparent surcharge.
How does the Bladespeed weekly UK schedule work?
Every mainland UK postcode area is mapped to a scheduled collection day. Vans run a planned weekly loop through the three regional hubs — London, Oxford and Bristol — and out to Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Cardiff and Swansea on the main corridors. Pickups and drop-offs are batched on the same day to keep the van full and your price down.
The principle: one day per postcode, every week, all year. Need it sooner? Pick an off-schedule day at checkout — the surcharge is visible before you commit, never bolted on after.
Coverage by country
England
Cornwall to Northumberland, London to the Lakes. Every region of England sits on the weekly route, with London, Oxford and Bristol as the three hub corridors.
Scotland
Borders to Highlands. Edinburgh and Glasgow are on the weekly schedule via the A1 and M74; Aberdeen, Dundee and Inverness need a little more notice but run regularly.
Wales
South, mid and north Wales. Cardiff and Swansea sit a short hop down the M4 from Oxfordshire; mid and north Wales slot into routes that loop through Birmingham or Manchester.
Route map (text)
Picture a Y, centred on Oxfordshire:
- The southern stem runs M4 east into London and west into Bristol and Cardiff.
- The northern stem runs M40/M6 up to Birmingham, then splits — M6 to Manchester, Liverpool and on into Scotland via the M74; A1 to Yorkshire, Newcastle and Edinburgh.
- Wales comes off the bottom-west of the Y, the M4 corridor to Cardiff and Swansea, with mid and north Wales reached via M5/M6 detours.
That’s the shape of the network. From the Uffington base it’s roughly:
- 70 miles to London
- 80 miles to Birmingham
- 100 miles to Bristol
- 200 miles to Manchester
- 240 miles to Cardiff
- 280 miles to Leeds
- 360 miles to Newcastle
- 420 miles to Edinburgh
- 540 miles to Aberdeen
- 480 miles to Inverness
Coverage exceptions
The weekly schedule covers mainland UK only. The following are available by arrangement on a separate quote rather than the standard rate card:
- Northern Ireland — ferry crossing required; routed via Cairnryan or Holyhead depending on origin.
- Channel Islands — Jersey and Guernsey, by sea freight onward from the mainland.
- Isle of Man — sailings from Heysham or Liverpool.
- Western Isles, Orkney, Shetland, Inner Hebrides — collection/delivery to the mainland ferry terminal is normal; the ferry leg is yours unless arranged separately.
- Highlands & Islands beyond Inverness — mainland routes north of Inverness run less frequently. Give us a week’s notice and we’ll plan the run in.
Email hello@bladespeed.co.uk with the addresses and we’ll come back with a route plan and price.
Not sure if your postcode is covered?
The instant quote tool tells you immediately. Enter your two postcodes — if you’re on the weekly schedule, it shows the day; if you’re in the exceptions list above, it routes you to a manual quote.
